BURSTPHONIC PAF by OctaKing is a patented, first-of-its-kind premium pedal and the inaugural flagship release from the OctaKing team. This is not a reinterpretation, clone, or variation of anything that came before—it is an entirely new category of analog tone architecture, engineered from the ground up.

Designed to authentically capture the soul of the most revered electric guitars ever built, Burstphonic PAF is inspired by the 1959 Gibson Factory Black Burst and Joe Bonamassa’s legendary ’59 “Holy Grail” Les Paul. The objective was uncompromising: replicate not just the pickup, but the entire instrument behavior—the body interaction, the microphonic response of unwaxed PAFs, and the harmonic complexity that defines a true 1959 Burst.

At its core, Burstphonic PAF is built around a proprietary, ground-up OctaKing op-amp, engineered in-house and unavailable anywhere else. Select internal components—some shared with original 1959 Gibson Burst electronics—are combined with 24k gold elements, a custom transformer, and a fully analog signal path. The internal topology and components are deliberately undisclosed; the circuit architecture remains strictly confidential by design.

  A dedicated transformer dynamically switches between STRAT and LP modes, adapting the pedal’s internal behavior to single-coil or humbucker guitars with absolute authenticity.

  Precision-tuned internal parameters, including a MID / 1.2 kHz shaping circuit, allow exact harmonic voicing consistent with vintage PAF resonance.

• Out-of-Phase Engine (Never Done Before)
  A true analog Out-of-Phase circuit inside a pedal. The input signal is split, phase-shifted, and recombined into a mono output—delivering the unmistakable “Greeny / Gary Moore” tone without modifying your guitar or wiring.

• Microphonic PAF Emulation
  Faithfully recreates the airy, vocal, unwaxed PAF response—dynamic, touch-sensitive, and alive.

• Universal Compatibility
  Designed to work with any guitar:

  • Single-coils, P90s, dogears, Strat-style pickups

  • Humbuckers of any type, from budget pickups to genuine Burst PAFs

  • Can even be used with real PAFs to enhance harmonic highs and tonal color

Signal Placement & Use
